Growth is dependent upon what you do with what God has given to you. Moses only had a staff and yet with it and the word of the Lord he saw the Red Sea parted and all of Israel delivered from slavery in Egypt.
But Moses ‘turned aside’ to see the burning bush and hear what God was saying. Do you likewise turn aside to listen to Him? What will you do with what He has given to you?
You have so much more than Moses had! If you have the Holy Spirit living on the inside of you, then you have gifts of healing, gifts of prophecy, and gifts of tongues to name but a few. These have not been given to be only used in a church service, neither have they been given to lay dormant. So choose today to use what God has given to you – and see how you will grow!
Exodus 4:2-5
The Lord said to him, What is that in your hand? And he said, A staff. Then He said, Throw it on the ground. So he threw it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from it. But the Lord said to Moses, Stretch out your hand and grasp it by its tail—so he stretched out his hand and caught it, and it became a staff in his hand— that they may believe that the Lord, the God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has appeared to you.
Romans 12:6-8
Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to exercise them accordingly: if prophecy, according to the proportion of his faith; if service, in his serving; or he who teaches, in his teaching; or he who exhorts, in his exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.
