God will never leave you

God calls you forwards. But the path ahead looks like dangerously thin ice… ‘Could it crack and break under me?’ you ask. Again, God calls you forwards and encourages you across the frozen river – but every doubtful human thought comes into your head, and you find yourself trapped by fear.

And then…

And then He reminds you of every time you have ever slipped or fell – how He picked you up. He reminds you of every time you got stuck – how He helped you out of the situation. He reminds you of every time you didn’t think you had the strength – He held you up.

So many times you Saviour has intervened for you! He has never ever abandoned you. He will never leave you or forsake you  – and certainly not at this moment, when He has asked you to do something for him.

You don’t need to see too far ahead, to the outcome of His plans. Simply be obedient – trust God and see His provision and blessing on your life.

Deuteronomy 31:66
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.

Hebrews 13:5
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”
