Get Fit for Me – your Lion Bites word for today

Don’t get settled where you are, no more living in the same old pattern, for God has more for you. I hear the Holy Spirit say, ‘We are going on a journey. We are going to do exploits together – so get ready!” 

I see those who will journey with God, dressed in army fatigues, in a jungle terrain. You are called to be a great adventurer, to go on a mission with God. Yes, the terrain is challenging but it is exhilarating because God is out in front leading you and you are overcoming because you are following Him. 

He shouts encouraging words to go on; to cut your way through the dense jungle. He did not make you for the fireside, curled up in safety. He called you to move through the world in power, claiming territory for Him. He called you to more than you thought possible.

So you need to get ready, prepare yourself for what He has in mind. Get into spiritual training; devour His word like never before; open your mind to hear from Him in new ways; think big, God-sized thoughts. Expect the unexpected, and respond to it. You are not too young or too old, too infirm or too limited. Your circumstances are no problem for God. He can take you from where you are and lead you on a new adventure. So get ready to go!

Hebrews 12:1-3
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
