From sandpaper to polishing

There are times when it feels as though you have been ‘sandpapered’ by God! – where he stretched down to where you were and rubbed firmly, to remove the ungodly protrusions in your life.

God has been sanding down your excesses and selfishness. He has scraped off iniquity and scoured off pride; He has pulled out anger and purged deceit.

God says to you today:

‘I have you where I want you. You are not as broken as you think. You have been refined and made more in my image.’

‘Now I am sending the polishing cloth to gently cause you to shine. This is not the time to bleed in the pain of sanding, but the time to shine in the polishing. See! You are now going to shimmer and I can see My reflection in you!’, says God. ‘Do not allow yourself to focus on the pain of the journey-of-refining but now focus on who I have enabled you to become… otherwise you will get stuck in the past.’

You are a radiator of My Glory and a glimmering sign of My saving grace.

You are a powerhouse of purpose and you sparkle with life.

Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you.
