Expect the unexpected – your Lion Bites word for today

You may pray for rain yet not falls, or you may pray for money yet none comes. But, in the morning is everything not wet with dew? Can I not cause underground springs to burst forth from the earth? Am I not able to divert provision from unexpected sources, plundering your enemies? Was it not Goliath’s sword that was used to behead him and later became a weapon in David’s hands?

The Lord is saying, “I am the God of the unexpected and my ways are so much higher than man’s ways. Therefore, as you face opposition or setbacks, do not pray in the way that you think you ought to, rather as me how to pray, seek my heart and I will reveal my ways to you. Today, give me permission to act on your behalf; freedom to advance by means that you might not expect and watch as I move in creative ways.

I am sovereign God and will act in ways far above your understanding. Today, give me permission to act now on your behalf and have faith that I will accomplish that which I know is best in the way I know is perfect!
