Luke 2:10
But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.
Enjoy God. Enjoy His goodness, which is not dependent on man and is not dependent on material possessions but is nevertheless tangible and can even be tasted (Taste and see that the Lord is good – Psalm 34:8). Cultivate an atmosphere of contentedness inside of you that will overflow as a thankful and joyful heart, in all circumstances.
As wise men once wrote in the Westminster Shorter Catechism of 1647: Man’s chief end is to glorify God and to enjoy him forever * (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Westminster_Shorter_Catechism?ct=t(LB_Y6_Wk20_45_19_2016)&mc_cid=816e6b8705&mc_eid=[UNIQID]) . Don’t put off enjoying the goodness of God to another time or to when everything is done – and do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Joyfully adore Him today!
Psalm 16:5-11
Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance. I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. I keep my eyes always on the Lord.
With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure, because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, nor will you let your faithful one see decay.
You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
