Everything big starts little. The mighty oak begins with a tiny acorn. Every journey begins with that first step.
I have allotted to each of you a measure of faith (Romans 12:3), a seed to be planted deep in Me. But some have despised this seed; others have failed to use what has been allotted to them, looking instead for the mighty oak – the finished article.
Do you not know that even Jesus, the Christ learned obedience through the things that He suffered? (Hebrews 5:8) And yet He has been given the name that is above every name that can be given. He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords.
So I say to you, ‘do not despise the day of small things. Plant the seeds that I have given you and watch them grow. Utilise what I have allotted to you, and I will give you more. Do not be so focused on the destination that you forget about the journey. Do not be like the wicked servant that hid the talents entrusted to him (Matthew 25:17).
Do not despise the day of small beginnings, because that which starts small will become big.
Zechariah 4:10
For who has despised the day of small things?
