Don’t be overcome by the details

Why are you so focused on the tiniest of details, when I have given you the overall plan? Your focus is too small; you’ve made me too small in your sight. You look at your problems as if they were giant mountains and forget the awesomeness of your God.

This is the day for remembering who I am and how enormous I am.

Time and time again, I have stretched out my hand on your behalf and have slain the enemies that you thought would overcome you. Would you so quickly forget all that I have done and accomplished on your behalf? You only need to stand still and see my salvation. Would you now run to those who are my enemies for help?

Remember, today is the day of salvation. Wait for me to move on your behalf and I will do it.

Isaiah 30:15-18
In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it. You said, ‘No, we will flee on horses.’ Therefore you will flee! You said, ‘We will ride off on swift horses.’ Therefore your pursuers will be swift! A thousand will flee at the threat of one; at the threat of five you will all flee away, till you are left like a flagstaff on a mountaintop, like a banner on a hill.” Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!
