Do today DIFFERENTLY!

Are you up for a challenge on this last day of the year? Can you do today differently? Can you walk out under the smile of your perfect, heavenly Father andnot under a cloud of condemnation? It is time for us to be more aware of His presence in our day.

When young children draw pictures they usually include a big yellow sun in their blue sky, don’t they? Sometimes their sun even has a smiley face! But if you were to sketch a landscape, what would be in your sky? Would you paint ‘grown-up’ scenes of clouds, storms and sunsets or sunsets?

Or would you, like a child, include a big, warm, bright sun on your canvas?

Father God is very present in your life today. He is like that big, happy sun in the corner of the child’s picture, lighting up the scene, shining upon you. He is smiling down on your life, always watching over you, always listening to you, always speaking, whispering, singing over you.

How different will your day be today if you keep this truth in mind as you go about your business? Keep a look out the corner of your eye today – be aware of Him, smiling on you. It is time to live differently. Don’t wait until next year – start now! Choose to stand under his blessings today.

Psalm 85:8-13
I listen carefully to what God the LORD is saying, for he speaks peace to his faithful people. But let them not return to their foolish ways. Surely his salvation is near to those who fear him, so our land will be filled with his glory. Unfailing love and truth have met together. Righteousness and peace have kissed! Truth springs up from the earth, and righteousness smiles down from heaven.
Yes, the LORD pours down his blessings. Our land will yield its bountiful harvest. Righteousness goes as a herald before him, preparing the way for his steps.
