Dig for Glory!

‘Dig for glory – in the middle of your day!’

What a strange phrase to hear! But the Holy Spirit is alerting His people to a lull, or a dip, in the day, when sons and daughters are consumed by tasks and thoughts that are far from the Glory of the Lord.

Look at your life? Is it like a tightrope that is bowing low in the middle? Do your good intentions in the early morning soon become overwhelmed by the heat and intensity of the day?
Who or what do you turn to in the midst of stress and intensity?

It is time to dig for Glory in the middle of the day!

The application of this word is up to you – in consultation with the Holy Spirit of course! It might be that you need to stop whatever you are doing and make space to dig a well of praise and prayer in your lunch hour or afternoon. Or maybe you can’t stop – perhaps there are alarms or reminders instead, that you can set all along your ‘tightrope’ to keep you taut and balanced? Maybe you can get together with others – a text, phone or email network of quick, mutual reminders at those ‘low’ or ‘intense’ points in the day? Ask the Spirit of the Lord to guide you in this – find the personal solution for you.

Go and dig for glory!

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
