Come up here, my child.
Not only outside of yourself; into my hand, for safety or escape.
Not only outside of your circumstances; onto my wings, for perspective and strategy.
Come up here, where you are seated in the heavenly places with me. Sit here in this place of peace, surrounded by my glory, and rest awhile.
Come up here, and know what it means to be free of worry and anxiety. See what I see from the throne. From where we are seated, we can see it all: the stars, the earth, the past, and the future.
Come and see how I am working it all according to my plan. See how marvellously intricate my wisdom is. Rest in my sovereignty. Ask me for my strategies. And trust that you are in my hand, seated with me, “up here,” even when you’re “down there.”
Activation: Breathe in and let the Holy Spirit show you a picture of what He sees from His perspective. Remind yourself that you are seated with Him.
Ephesians 2:6-7 (NIV)
And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.
Revelation 4:1-2 (NIV)
. . . and the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, “Come up here, and
I will show you what must take place after this.” At once I was in the Spirit, and there
before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it.
Habakkuk 2:20 (NIV)
But the Lord is in His holy temple; let all the earth be silent before Him.
