Come to me – your Lion Bites word for today

Come to me, my dear and precious child, I want to remind you of who you are. I want to refresh your understanding of what you mean to me. I am the Lord your God, I created you and I love you, every fibre of you. You are my very precious jewel, so beautiful!

Come and sit with me… don’t run from me. I want to whisper to you, by my Spirit, and refresh and revive you. Why do you run from me, why do you avoid stilling yourself, quietening yourself before me? There is nothing to fear – I have only good things to say to you, the sweet song of a loving Father who wants to bless His child. You busy yourself to avoid intimacy and even when we do sit you fill the air with talking to avoid silence, to avoid hearing and seeing the things I want to say and show you. The good things!

Psalm 139:7-12
Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.
