Come Closer

While they were talking and discussing together, Jesus himself drew near and went with them. Luke 24:15 NIV

You have walked with me through your life, but at this time, I am inviting you into a deeper level of companionship, of walking together.  I am your companion, the one who walks closely beside you, closer than a brother, but I am inviting you to draw even nearer.  

There is a new experience of oneness available, of being in union, being ‘joined at the hip’, which means you will know me on a deeper level in the day-to-day.  I want you to know me as you walk and talk ‘on your road’.  I do not want you to be those that don’t recognise me, those who miss me in the day-to-day, those who compartmentalise me into certain spaces.  I want to be your all in all; the near one, in your mouth, in the very breath you take.

 This is an invitation into a new depth of openness and vulnerability.

Lord, you know everything there is to know about me. You perceive every movement of my heart and soul, and you understand my every thought before it even enters my mind. You are so intimately aware of me, Lord. You read my heart like an open book, and you know all the words I’m about to speak before I even start a sentence! You know every step I will take before my journey even begins.
