Come closer

My child, come and rest in my presence and taste of my great love for you. I delight in you and I want you to come closer, closer still. The road is rocky and the journeying long, but you were never meant to walk this road alone. Your life is filled with many things, but the weight is too much for you to carry on your own. So I say to you my child, come and rest awhile and I will show you my perfect will for you. I will show you how to walk this life unburdened and unfettered, I will show you how to walk in my presence and my love will propel you and empower you. So I say again, come closer, come closer, draw aside to me.

All things have been handed over to me by my Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. Come to me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
