Choices

I set before you a challenge, says the Lord, to choose from the options I give you and to accept the consequences of your choice. You will need your wits about you because they are not what they appear and must be discerned, and they must be in reference to what you know about me from what has been revealed to you.

The choices you have before you are different for everyone, for each has different preferences; each has different weaknesses and strengths. These choices are designed to show you what is in your heart and to expose the good as well as what still needs shaping. So, will you choose with the right heart, choosing only those things that would please me?

There are many choices to be made in this life, each with its own cost and each will be examined. You see, life is full of choices but there is only one wise choice and that is to choose my Son Jesus. Once you have chosen him, all other choices will come into

place in reference to him, says the Lord.

Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.”

It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God – that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.”
