Blast from the past

The enemy would blow you off course with blasts from the past. Those things that once held you in chains of fear and bondage – the enemy would bring to mind. He is seeking to entrap you in his lies once again; to bring condemnation, fear and guilt.

Beloved, be wise to his attacks and stand against those old thoughts and fears, do not let them grip your heart or mind again. Remember, you are transformed by the renewing of your mind, by setting your mind on things above, not on earthly things. Remember to stand with the whole armour of God in place, praying in the Spirit on all occasions.

1 Peter 5:8-9 (NKJ)
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.
