Be Still – your Lion Bite word for today

Stop for a minute and come close. Listen to my heartbeat; is it rushing? No – I see all things, and I am not concerned. So why are you? Put your concerns to one side and listen to my heartbeat.

Let your rhythm be tuned to mine. Let your breathing follow my pace. Let your heartbeat in time with mine. Hold my hand. I will lead.

I am leading you into victory, and one of your greatest weapons against the storms around you is in the place of stillness, the time of connection with me. You who are weary come and find rest in me today.

Exodus 14:14 (NIV)

The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still

Psalm 46:10 (NIV)

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

Matthew 8:23-26 (NIV)

Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”  He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.
