Baptised with fire – your Lion Bites word for today

I heard the Lord say, ‘I have come to baptise you with fire, to burn up all the dross that would hold you back’. Don’t be afraid of the fire of God. It is a cleansing fire. Where you have been infected by the world’s standards and where compromise has crept in, God wants to baptise you with fire – but it is your choice. Are you willing to let God bring His holy fire into every area of your life: to cleanse, to heal, to remove? Are you ready to be filled up and to be on fire for Him again?

John answered them all by saying, I baptise you with water; but He Who is mightier than I is coming, the strap of Whose sandals I am not fit to unfasten. He will baptise you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.
