An ability to rest – your Lion Bites word for today

The Lord sees the weariness that has resulted from a stressful, busy and anxious season. But know that He is coming and He is releasing energy and life into every fibre of your being. But more than that, the Lord is gracing you with an ability to rest.

Where you have felt pulled in many directions, and many needs have called your name, Jesus is speaking ‘peace’ and ‘still’, just as He did on the boat to the storm. He is making a space for you to rest and to be renewed; to enjoy a time where all else pauses and you are able to breathe in the fullness of His life.

I hear Him ask, ‘In this busy season, would you bring your diary before me and allow me to sift through it? Let me sift out the things that will only drain your energy and then let me add days and times where you can just ‘be’ and be rejuvenated. Enjoy what it means to enter into my rest.’

Hebrews 4:10-11
For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His. Therefore let us be diligent to enter that rest, so that no one will fall, through following the same example of disobedience.
