All of Your Heart

The heart of the matter is a matter of the heart.  It has always been about your heart.  You can keep me at arms length, trying to impress me with your prayers, your devotions, your service, and your ministry.  You can try to satisfy me with less but ultimately it is your heart that I long for.  Don’t hold back; I didn’t.  Don’t divide your heart into compartments; I want it all, even as I gave it all for you.

I laid my heart out – bared for the world to see – exposed, and visible.  I gave you my heart.  I laid down my life and said, “I am yours; I am committed.”  I long for you to acknowledge my love, to allow it to unlock a deep, deep work within your heart so that your response is one of equal abandon, of unreserved, open-hearted surrender of everything.  I long for you to risk your heart, all of your heart.  Trust your heart to me fully, completely, with abandon.  Your heart is so precious to me; I cherish your heart; I will always cherish your heart.

Activation: Jesus, your pearl of very great price, is inviting you into a deeper level of trust and commitment; inviting you to let him search your heart for depths that are still closed to him, places where you have withheld trust, where you have not surrendered.  We are told that our heart can be deceitful and sometimes we don’t see it.  Ask Holy Spirit to show you where you are still holding back and any areas where there is a lack of surrender.

Mark 12:30 (ESV)

And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.

Matthew 13:45-46 (TPT)

Heaven’s kingdom realm is also like a jewel merchant in search of rare pearls. When he discovered one very precious and exquisite pearl, he immediately gave up all he had in exchange for it.

Proverbs 3:5 (ESV)

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.

Jeremiah 29:13 (ESV)

You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.
