Don’t throw in the towel – your Lion Bites word for today

A sportsman or woman is not formed in one game or match. Whether a tennis ace, a football star or a boxing champion, they are made in the weeks, months and years of training, practice, preparation and exercise. Rarely do they win their game in the first serve, shot or punch. Instead they patiently and confidently persevere, knowing that they have the gifting, the fitness, the discipline and the character to stay in the game until the right time comes for the winning ace, match-winning move or the knockout blow.

Is there a spiritual battle that you have relinquished your victory or thrown in the towel too soon? Have faith today to go again at areas of warfare that you just know in your spirit are not to be given up on. Those 100 prayers or faith leaps that seemed ineffective were part of your training and the 101st strike will be successful!

Mark 9:29
Jesus replied, “This kind can be cast out only by prayer and fasting.”
