A bull is easily provoked, easily riled. It behaves wildly, reacting impulsively to whatever stimuli it sees nearby. A matador bullfighter can easily provoke it into a frenzy and make it charge by waving his red cloth. The bull rushes this way and that, becoming fixated with the red cloth; nothing else will calm the bull now… inevitably it will exhaust itself, injure itself (or others), even endanger itself.
But, of course, you are not a bull! You are blessed with wisdom and revelation; anointed with the Holy Spirit, who brings forth fruits such as peace, patience and self-control. You have God’s word in your right hand; a proverb for every circumstance is at your disposal!
Don’t be a bull! Don’t be provoked by the Deceiver, the Liar, nor by the red flags that he waves in your direction. Turn away, walk out of the heat and noise of the bull ring. Re-focus and remind yourself of who you are and the good fruit that you more naturally bear.

Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.
