If…you will have the time you need – your Lion Bites word for today
Joshua 10:12-13
Then Joshua spoke to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the sons of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, “O sun, stand still at Gibeon, and O moon in the valley of Aijalon.” So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, until the nation avenged themselves of their enemies. Is it not written in the book of Jashar? And the sun stopped in the middle of the sky and did not hasten to go down for about a whole day.
Don’t be conformed to this world or be subject to this world’s timings!
Do you find yourself rushing to and fro from one appointment to another, one task to another, constantly juggling and trying to keep many balls in the air whilst you attempt hold more in your hands? …yet all the while your strength drains from you, your energy wanes and your step slows down. Do you ask, ‘Why?’, ‘Where is my energy?’, ‘Why can’t I have restful sleep?’, ‘Why am I so tired?’
The answers to these questions are found with God. Have you forgotten the source? Have you neglected the vine into which you have been grafted? Have you made room for the Lord of Time, the Saviour of your souls?
He asks now, ‘Am I not the eternal God? Do I not hold all of time in my hands?’ How can we say, ‘We have no time – no time to be in your presence, no time to be in your Word?’
Yet it is His Word that holds the fabric of all time together!
It’s time to let the balls go. It’s time to stop the juggling and the rushing to and fro. Come and rest in Him. Make Him your foundation again – and let that foundation be a launching platform into all that He would have you hold, in the timings that He decrees.
His promise to you is this: I am the eternal God and if you make me your foundation, if you will put me first before all others, I will stop time on your behalf and you will always have the time that you need to accomplish all that I have given to you, in the order that I give it.
Matthew 6:33
But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
