God has seen you, bobbing up and down on the water, like a tiny sailing boat on a big, calm sea. He has not forgotten you, you have not dropped off his radar. Does your once-certain goal seem far away or impossible to reach? It is time to remind yourself of what once seemed possible and reset your sails for the adventure!
‘I will blow on your little boat’, says the Lord. ‘Raise your sails, point your stern in the right direction and my breath will set you in motion once again. You may need to tack (the zig-zagging course that keeps wind in the sails) a little, but as long as you keep your promised destination in mind, my breath will not cease and you won’t lose speed’.
‘Don’t put out your oars or drop anchor – it is my breath that will drive you onwards, anything else will hinder your momentum and add extra length to your journey’.
Philippians 1:4-6
In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
