Days of Restoration – your Lion Bites word for today

These are days of spiritual restoration. Don’t despair of what has become run-down, decrepit and derelict. It is not time to abandon your city to the wilderness and set out for new places of hope. God is delivering scaffolding to His people. Truckloads of scaffolding are being deposited at each believer’s gate.

You are being commissioned to build a restorational framework around your places of influence. Take up the scaffolding that God is giving you – the promises, decrees and prayers of His Word – and begin to surround your run-down places with this scaffolding. Surround your streets, offices, buildings, factories, schools, colleges, shops, churches, community centres, hospitals, public buildings with declarations of God’s truth. Build up the scaffolding so that the restoration might begin!

Isaiah 40:1-5
Comfort, comfort my people, says your God. Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and proclaim to her that her hard service has been completed, that her sin has been paid for, that she has received from the Lord’s hand double for all her sins.
A voice of one calling: “In the wilderness prepare the way for the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain.
And the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all people will see it together.
