Resources and Provision from God

Many of you have felt like you have been – and continue to be – in a tight season, where your supplies are on a strict ration. Words like ‘abundance’ and ‘more than enough’ seem very far away from your present circumstances, even though you know they are Biblical promises.

Nevertheless, strengthen yourself in the knowledge that the Lord is your provider and He will give you all that you require – And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19)

God is allowing this rationing season, so that you might become more aware of the bounty of resources that are actually at your disposal. I see you take hold of decorative iron railings and fashioning them into weapons of warfare and spears of breakthrough, just as they did during the world wars. You will fashion swords from your ploughshares and spears from your pruning-hooks!

And the Spirit of the Lord says, ‘I am making my people resourceful again, that they might be fully reliant on Me and My heavenly storehouses, and that they might develop immunity from the corruptions of this present age. My army will be lean, where all around has become fat; My army will be healthy and joy-filled, where all around has become inebriated by the artificial comforts of the world. Look around, to your right and to your left; walk with Me and you will have a revelation of the resources that I have already placed around you.’

That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
