Remain in me

This is a time to remain in me and not a time to turn away – even if it may have seemed like it has been a season of dryness over your life. Be assured that, although all on the surface may seem dry and dead, underneath there is an amazing transformation happening. Your roots are going down into me, drawing deeper into the pools of my love, searching and seeking for more of me. You will find me, when you search for me with all of your heart.

I have not left you alone, unattended or uncared for but instead I will draw out of you all the goodness that I know is there. The roots you put down now will allow for a greater and greater fruitfulness in the seasons to come. The closer you remain to me, the greater will be my life flow through your heart.

Do not be dismayed or discouraged, for I am your God, I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

John 15:1-4
I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.
