The Jewel

Creator God holds you up before His eye. You are a beautiful, sparkling jewel in His mighty hand and striking, colourful shards of light burst forth from every side and angle of you. Your Heavenly Father is delighted with you and is proud of His craftsmanship.

But I hear the jewel groan as He turns it this way and that, believing that if a certain part is not closest to His touch, then it will not shine as brightly. Despite this groan you must know the truth – that He says to you, ‘Beloved, you are made beautiful in every way’.
It’s great that you want to use your major gifting and serve God and man in the unique way you can – but be careful not to be so focused on one area you can’t be used in EVERY way that He chooses.
Sometimes He will use your smile, your kettle, your car, your laughter, your listening ear – whatever He chooses!

Today your Heavenly Father says to you, ‘Open up your heart and mind to the limitless ways and possibilities to shine for me’. Simply be. Rest in the knowledge that you are at your most effective and beautiful when you are simply being gazed upon by your Creator, and that His reflection radiates and transforms, wherever it lands.
