The healing river

I watched an army, weary from war, weary from the enemy’s onslaught, weary from the march from battle to battle. I watched as they crossed a field and sat down by the banks of a river. I watched as they began to remove their heavy boots, to reveal their blood stained socks and finally their war-torn and damaged feet. They had blisters, sores and heels that had been rubbed raw by their continued march. I watched as they put their feet into the cool, fresh running water. I watched as open sores began to heal, as the river washed away all the blood stains and all their wounds, all their pain. I watched as an army was refreshed and restored. I watched as an army of angels descended from heaven and tended to the wounds. The angelic host bathed the feet of each of these warriors of the army of God.

Come to the river today, weary warrior. Receive your healing now, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 22:1-2
And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
