“Many are the casualties of war, many are the casualties of war”, I heard, but, as I looked, I could see that these casualties were those who had ignored the war. Just like those who would decide to sit down in the midst of a battlefield to drink a cup of tea – in the same way, they had been targeted and hit.
To those, the Lord says: “Come to me and receive your healing and restoration. To your bodies, to your minds and to your emotions I say, ‘Restore, restore, restore!’.
Lift your eyes to me and allow me to teach you to war. Take up the armour and the weapons that I give you, because I have called you to be victorious, and victorious you shall be. For the battle has already been won, the enemy already defeated.
As I walked the earth, I came to destroy the works of the evil one (1 John 3:8), so I have called you to enforce my victory and destroy the works of evil. Look to me, your commander, and I will guide and teach you. Step into the victorious authority that I give to you. It’s time to take up arms and fight the good fight of faith.”
Psalm 18:34-39
He trains my hands for battle, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You have also given me the shield of Your salvation, and Your right hand upholds me; and Your gentleness makes me great. You enlarge my steps under me, and my feet have not slipped. I pursued my enemies and overtook them, and I did not turn back until they were consumed. I shattered them, so that they were not able to rise; they fell under my feet. For You have girded me with strength for battle; You have subdued under me those who rose up against me.
