You called, and I heard you as I always hear you. I always respond to your call, and I am here. I have not passed you by. You do not have to strive for my attention. You have my full attention. You do not have to plead for it. You do not have to approach me uncertain of my response, unsure if I will be angry or pleased to see you.
Today, throw off that beggar’s cloak you have been wearing. Discard what would keep you begging under the table for the crumbs that fall. Rid yourself what would keep you grovelling in the dirt. You are my treasured child. You are welcome. You are always welcome; you are highly prized. As you stand before me, with my full attention fixed on you, lift your head. You do not have to beg. Be bold, be confident. You are my beloved child.
I have all authority and all power. Nothing is too difficult for me. Nothing is too big. You do not have to put up with scraps. Throw off the small mindsets, the limited thoughts, that keep you dressed in rags. You are my child, my heir. You do not have to beg.
What is it that you want? What do you need? What is it that you would ask of me?
Mark 10:50-51 NIV
Throwing his cloak aside, he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus. ‘What do you want me to do for you?’ Jesus asked him. The blind man said, ‘Rabbi, I want to see.’
Romans 8:17 NIV
Now if we are children, then we are heirs – heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

Sit with Jesus and ponder the question in Mark 10:51. What is it that you need but have not asked because you didn’t believe you could?
