Stay There – your Lion Bites word for today

In this season, the Lord is pruning us, His people. He is pruning and tending to the branches in His garden! It might be easy to think, “Well, we dealt with that, or this has been restored, so I’m good.” But He is saying, “Stay connected to me.” We must learn that apart from Him we can do nothing! So, you don’t need to jump up and start trying to bear fruit on your own as you did before. You don’t need to perform for Him to show Him how good you are now.

No. He wants you to stay connected. Let His hand still be on you. Let Him fuss over you like a hen over her chicks. His work is not done yet, but also, He really likes it when you are close to Him! He is holding you in place until you stop squirming, and you begin to relax.

The grace is here for this, especially for those who have not been able to do this before this time. Take a chance. He won’t flinch or turn away. Just come to Him with humility. Repent if needed, but come with the confidence knowing He loves you. Come with passion for Him, don’t hold anything back! He is worthy!

John 15:1-4 NIV
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. ^ He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.”
