Saul’s Armour

Beloved sons and daughters, now is the time to enter into the maturity and fullness of who you are, and to advance.  You are made in My image and are born to rule and reign in the Kingdom, where there is no secular/ministry divide.  I trained David for victory over Goliath out of the spotlight, tending sheep and fighting off lions and bears.  When the day came to slay the giant, He trusted in the training and was led by the Spirit of God.

Every part of your life is of value to Me.  I have honed your gifts and skills through life experiences over many years.  Your pain has become My purpose. Holy Spirit has taught you through the mistakes. Nothing in my Kingdom is wasted. You have skill, strategy and wisdom to overcome the enemy and to take the ground.

There will be those who partner with the religious spirit and offer you ‘Saul’s armour’- who tell you “Oh, but this is how it’s done!”.  I tell you to listen only to Holy Spirit for the strategy. There is no ‘one size fits all’ in My Kingdom.  The ‘armour’ I have for you is tailor made for each assignment.  I will not arm you with anything ill-fitting or restrictive, with something that contains you or ends in defeat.  Be bold and courageous in these days as you allow Holy Spirit to lead you into the victory that is rightfully yours.  Your life is hidden in Me, and I have overcome!

Activation:

Ask Holy Spirit to show you the areas in life where discouragement and weariness have crept in through wearing ‘Saul’s Armour’.  Are you carrying false responsibility or trying to please man? Repent of doing anything in your own strength or by the wisdom and traditions of man.  Break agreement or alignment where you need to. Ask God for His strategy and wisdom to partner with the Spirit to see the Kingdom advance in your areas of influence.  Write out decrees and declarations based on what He shows you and be diligent in daily speaking them out.

1 Samuel 17:38-40, 50-51 (NLT)

Then Saul gave David his own armour—a bronze helmet and a coat of mail. David put it on, strapped the sword over it, and took a step or two to see what it was like, for he had never worn such things before. “I can’t go in these,” he protested to Saul. “I’m not used to them.” So David took them off again. He picked up five smooth stones from a stream and put them into his shepherd’s bag. Then, armed only with his shepherd’s staff and sling, he started across the valley to fight the Philistine.

50 So David triumphed over the Philistine with only a sling and a stone, for he had no sword. 51 Then David ran over and pulled Goliath’s sword from its sheath. David used it to kill him and cut off his head.”

Matthew 11: 28-30 (MSG)

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”
