“Ask me for an anointing for persistence!” says the Lord of Hosts.
“These are days when I am raising up a persistent people – those who do not stop at the slightest of resistance. Just as Elijah tucked his cloak under his belt and ran ahead of the chariots of Ahab by my supernatural power, so I am inviting you to work with this very anointing for determined direction and movement.”
This anointing of persistence will bring to many the ability to see projects, relationships and turmoil fully through until their right end. Many have struggled with completing the tasks God has laid on their shoulders, and He understands that there have been many reasons as to why this has occurred. But, take heart, for as this anointing lands, you will have the courage and energy to push through to full completion. Others are in the middle of a storm and feel as though it is going to swallow you whole. To you, this grace gives the ability to lift your head up and to push through until resolution arises.
If you want to partner with God in this, lay hands on your head and say aloud, “I receive an anointing of persistence and I choose to partner with you in this work, God.”
Jeremiah 25:3 MSG
From the thirteenth year of Josiah son of Amon king of Judah right up to the present day—twenty-three years it’s been! — God’s Word has come to me, and from early each morning to late every night I’ve passed it on to you.
1 Kings 18:46
Then the LORD gave special strength to Elijah. He tucked his cloak into his belt and ran ahead of Ahab’s chariot all the way to the entrance of Jezreel.
