First Love

What is your first love? What is the thing that you spend most of your time, thoughts and resources on? Is it truly God?

The Father is calling you to take the idols of this world off your walls and destroy them. The things that take your eyes away from him, the worldly things that consume your heart and mind. Throw them off so that you can once more take your place in his great army.

This is a year to rise; a year to realise your potential. Don’t let the things that distract, prevent you from stepping into the fullness of your call. Like mice that nibble at the harvest, so do the everyday distractions steal from the Kingdom of God. Cut off that which would destroy and place God back as your first love. 

Action: Ask God to shine a light on the things that are keeping you from placing him as your first love.
