Fallow Ground

For everything, there is a season and a time for every matter under heaven. 

This season I want to talk to you about matters of the heart.

I want to go over old ground. Ground that has been left to rest for it was not the right season to start digging for, the ground was too hard, so I left it to fallow. 

Now, you are ready for me to dig. 

Let me dig out all the sorrowful disappointments of the past seasons because you have chosen to rest the soil of your heart in my capable hands. I will make you fertile again with seeds of joy giving you beauty for ashes. 

I will regenerate the soil of your heart making it fertile once again with the plans and purposes I have for you. 

Activation: Ask the Lord to remove any seeds that have been planted within you which are not meant to be there. As he plucks out these seeds, ask for a fresh in-filling of more of him to fill these spaces.

Sow righteousness for yourselves, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the Lord, until he comes and showers his righteousness on you.

Jeremiah 4:3 (NIV)

. . . Break up your unplowed ground and do not sow among thorns.
