Look up – God has made a way! – your Lion Bites word for today

To those who are stuck and feel that they face a dead-end: Look up!

The Lord says to you, ‘I saw that you had reached what seemed like an impossible place. I recognise that you did not turn back but instead waited for me. Good! I heard your cry, and I let down a rescue ladder for you, but you did not see it. Now is the time to look up and begin to climb out of your circumstances. I have given you the means of escape.’

As the Lord spoke, I saw a figure, standing by a very high concrete wall that towered above everything. The wall was completely smooth – it was physically insurmountable. The person at the foot of the wall had done everything to try to climb. They had beaten against the wall; they had paced around the foot of the wall; they had lain down before the wall. But then a net made of thick rope was thrown down over the wall. There was now a way to climb, but the figure at the bottom did not notice. They were too preoccupied with where they lay. They adjusted the shoes on their feet – as if this would somehow suddenly help them to scale the wall!

If you feel like this figure at the foot of the wall, it is time to dust yourself down and look up to God and the fresh means of ascent that He has provided.

In the illustration above He is asking you to climb because He has provided the way by which you can climb.
