Know this, Child, my gaze never wavers or falters. Be assured, today, that I see everything; very move you make, every one of your kind gestures, I see. I watch your work, your joys and your pains. I see all things. My eyes follow your every moment, and my heart does not condemn or disapprove.
Do not be afraid to lock eyes with me. Do not be afraid of catching my gaze. For I am making a space in the midst of your busy life and I am setting aside guilt and shame for you to see my face. I am your first love, your source, your strength, and I have poured myself out as an offering for all your sin. I have not only covered but removed your pain and transgressions, setting as far as the east is from the west from you.
Today, cease your striving, come and look. See the love that pours forth from my eyes in wave after wave.
Luke 10:41-42
But the Lord replied to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered and anxious about so many things; but only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part [that which is to her advantage], which will not be taken away from her.”
