Put on His beauty and kingship – your Lion Bites word for today

1 Peter 2:5
…you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

Day and night keep your incense of sacrifice burning to the Lord. In the spirit, put on the priestly robes Jesus gives to you and display His beauty and kingship for the world to see. Take off everything else that clings to you – empty your heart of unclean passions and put on a priestly breastplate. Consecrate your mind and thoughts to be holy and set on God.

The priests of the Old Covenant were the only ones fit to carry the Lord’s glory and lead His people into battle but now we, His church, will be the prepared and battle-ready ones. So, turn your face to the Lord in worship and awe, in praise and adoration. You are His priests and no longer do you have to wait to enter the holy of holies. Come and dwell with the King and feel the weight of His glory cover you and fill the hidden and deep places of your heart.

You shall make holy garments… for glory and for beauty.
