I saw wave after wave after wave of water start to flow out of heaven and over the earth. It didn’t come as a shallow stream but as a deep, wide and vast lake. Some people were rushing around, trying to stuff paper into holes in the ground to stop the splashes of water at their feet from draining away. But of course the paper dissolved. Others stood – and therefore only their feet were in the water. They carried on with whatever they had been doing before and so failed to see and experience the full wonder of the water.
But others were on their knees, immersed up to their hearts in the lake, being washed and enjoying a great peace. The Lord says, ‘Do not try to contain my love, don’t try to find methods to catch it as there is an endless river coming from heaven and your efforts will be wasted. Don’t be distracted by doing futile things which you think are helping yourself and others but today take time to be on your knees before me. Let the waters of my Spirit wash around you and cleanse your hearts. Receive my peace’.
Psalm 95:6-7
Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care.
