Gone Fishing – your Lion Bites word for today

I saw a person sitting on the banks of a river, fishing with a rod. I then saw a trawler out at sea with a huge net full of fish. Finally, the scene changed to a small rowing boat out on a lake with two people fishing.

And the Holy Spirit said to me, ‘I have made some to be fishers in rivers and some in lakes, whilst others trawl in oceans. Some are asked to work by themselves or in pairs; others have to cooperate in larger teams. The end result is that fish are pulled from all types of waters in the only way they can be’.

If you are working in a team, rejoice in that! If you are on your own, don’t allow loneliness to sneak up on you, nor despair at the time it takes for you to see results when others seem to haul in a harvest every day. Be at peace as you work together with Jesus. Know that, beside Him, you are in the right place, at the right time and using the right method. Enjoy fishing!
