There is light at the end of the tunnel – your Lion Bites word for today

Luke 2:29-32
“Sovereign Lord, as you have promised, you may now dismiss your servant in peace. For my eyes have seen your salvation, which you have prepared in the sight of all nations: a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel.”

Just as Simeon and Anna tarried long in the temple, praying and fasting for their day long-promised, so too your day will come.

Have you been waiting a long time for the end of a ‘dark tunnel’ process? Have you endured a lengthy illness or waited many, many weeks for an expected opportunity? Have you had to journey a long and patient road with a loved one? Have you prayed, and prayed, and prayed for years for an awakening in your land, or a revival in your church? Perhaps, like a child in the build-up to a special day, you’ve been crossing off the days, marking time until your moment of light-at-the-end-of-the-tunnel arrives?

I heard the Holy Spirit say for you, ‘If you can see that light at the end of the tunnel you can have it. Reach out – lunge towards it – it’s yours to lay claim to!’

Keep going. Move through the tunnel as fast as you can. Keep that light in sight and head straight for it. That hope belongs to you. God is with you. Press onwards and don’t give up.

Psalm 23:4
Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
