Leviticus 26:3-5
If you walk in my statutes and observe my commandments and do them, then I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. Your threshing shall last to the time of the grape harvest, and the grape harvest shall last to the time for sowing. And you shall eat your bread to the full and dwell in your land securely.
The Holy Spirit says, ‘no half measures’, to remind us that God does not leave His people camped half way to a destination. He is the God who led Israel through their wilderness years and into the promised land.
He says, ‘no half measures’, to remind us that God does not leave miracles half done. Jesus did not heal just one eye of the blind men and women He encountered!
And He says, ‘no half measures’, to remind us that we are being transformed into His likeness, from one degree of glory to another. He is not leaving us stuck on a plateau, half-way up the mountain. No! He says to you now, ‘Come my child, take another step – and then another – and then another. I am not done with you, I have not given up on you. Do not abandon these things that we began together with such determination because I am not done here; I am ready to pour more into your glass if you would raise it to me again and agree with me, “no half measures, Lord!”‘
2 Corinthians 3:18
And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
