The all consuming fire – your Lion Bites word for today
God has placed His fire around you; to those who seek Him it is a fire of love, warmth, protection and provision.
He desires that you would come closer to His fire, as if you were embracing the flames of love and feeding from Him – He is the fire. He is a holy fire that will consume all those things that would set themselves up against you, leaving you safe and in a place of his warmth and love.
All you have to do is say, ‘yes’ and draw ever closer in your worship and adoration. Let Him do the rest for for you. Remember, He wants to give you more than you care to receive. He cries for you to surrender all, so that His fire is in you, as well as around you. He is an all consuming fire.
Deuteronomy 4:24
For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.
Hebrews 12:28-29
Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our “God is a consuming fire.”
