Father God desires that you learn true rest in this Christmas season and develop within you an ability to be still. For many of this may be contrary to what you are used to: your flesh will fight doing what feels like nothing, but resist this urge and allow the Father to show you what it is to rest.
He reminds you that true rest is not doing nothing. True rest is creating space for God to move, shape and stir in your life and it achieves more than busyness.
Ask God what this learning and developing might look like in your life? Where do you start? Is there a need to cancel some diary dates? Or do you have to turn your phone or computer off for a couple of hours – or even a day?
As you allow yourself not just to rest, but to learn what it means to be still, you will create this Godly value in your life and in future times you will function from that still, peaceful place rather than from busyness, stress and striving.
2 Corinthians 13:11
Finally, brethren, rejoice, be made complete, be comforted, be like-minded, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.
Isaiah 64:4 (AMP)
For from days of old no one has heard, nor has ear perceived, Nor has the eye seen a God besides You, Who works and acts in behalf of the one who [gladly] waits for Him.
