I have come to stay – your Lion Bites word for today

I have come to dwell with you, to stay, to be there for always. Every single day, without fail, I am there. I will not leave you. As you read I stand at your shoulder, and my Spirit has settled quietly in your heart. Where you are, I am at home there. My heart is steady and dependable. My name is ‘faithful’. I will not let you down as others have sometimes done. I do not change in my affection for you, for my heart is committed. I never rethink our relationship. 
 
I think of you and will always care for you. I am the lover of your soul, the protector of your life, the provider for your needs, the one who will always listen and understand, the one who is reliable, the one who gives you courage and hope, the one who raises your head and lifts your eyes to point out to you what I see, so that you can see it too. I am the one who laughs with you and cries with you, the one who urges you to run fast with me. I am the one who teaches you trust and gives you joy. The one who never fails. I am security, safety, covering, protection, provision. I am the God who knows you.

Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne?
