Set both feet firmly on the floor – your Lion Bites word for today

There are some days when it is just really difficult to get out of bed! There are mornings when, no-matter what pressing engagements you have ahead, you just can’t shift yourself from the warmth and comfort of your duvet or blankets. It can take a real act of will to get things moving.
 
But today the alarm clock is sounding loud and clear from heaven. Get up, child of God, there is work to be done! This is a day to swing your feet out and set them firmly on the floor. This is a new day, one where heaven is compelling you to walk forwards and embrace what God has called you to help establish. You might only be able to muster a croak in a sleepy voice but nevertheless, it is time to call out, ‘Come Holy Spirit!’ It is time to shuffle your feet forwards; don’t fear stumbling as they get used to walking on this new ground. It is time to rub bleary eyes; soon you will see the new thing that Jesus Christ is building.
 
‘Come on, my child, I have great need of you’, says Christ Jesus, your Lord. ‘Let’s go to work together today – I’d like you to join me out there. I’ve packed your bag already, you’re all set and equipped to go’. So today fix your mind, your will and your emotions to rising and embracing all that the Son has for you!
